Frequently Asked Questions
Everything about our olive oils, shipping, returns and payment. If your question is not here, we are one email away.
Where do your olive oils come from?
Every bottle we sell is produced in Anatolia, Türkiye — mostly in the Aegean groves of Ayvalık, Edremit, Urla, Milas, Dikili, Seferihisar and Akhisar. We work directly with a small group of producer families and estates: Céline’s Farm, Nostroliva, Ayolis, Aurea Olea, Giz, Leleg and Queen Elisir, so every oil can be traced back to its grove and its harvest.
You can explore the growing regions on our Map of Harvest, or read the story of each producer on the Brands page.
What makes your extra virgin olive oil different?
Our oils are early harvest and cold pressed. The olives are handpicked while still green, taken to the mill on the day of harvest and pressed below 18°C, so the natural polyphenols and aromas survive the process instead of being lost to heat.
That is what gives a fresh Anatolian extra virgin olive oil its green, grassy aroma and the peppery finish you feel at the back of your throat. Several of the oils in our catalogue are also international competition medal winners.
Do you ship worldwide, and how much does shipping cost?
Yes — we ship worldwide, and express shipping is free on every order, with no minimum spend.
Orders are dispatched from our warehouse in the United States and travel with established couriers such as DHL, FedEx and UPS. Please note that we cannot deliver to P.O. boxes or to military (APO/FPO) addresses.
How long will my order take, and can I track it?
Orders are prepared and dispatched within 2–4 business days, excluding weekends and public holidays. Estimated delivery times for your address are shown at checkout before you confirm the order.
As soon as your parcel leaves the warehouse we email you a shipping confirmation with a tracking number. Delivery estimates are indicative: customs inspections, carrier delays or events beyond our control can add a few days.
Will I have to pay customs duties or import taxes?
Orders delivered inside the United States are not subject to import duties.
For international deliveries, any customs duties, import taxes or handling fees charged by the destination country are the responsibility of the recipient, and they are not included in the price you pay at checkout. If a parcel is refused because these charges are not paid, any return or destruction costs are also borne by the customer. Full details are in our Shipping Policy.
Can I return my order or request a refund?
You can request a return within 14 days of receiving your order by writing to team@oliveoilanatolia.com. If the return is approved we send you a return label and instructions — please do not ship anything back before contacting us.
Because olive oil is a consumable food product, opened or used bottles cannot be returned; the same applies to personal care items and final-sale products. Items must be unused and in their original packaging, with proof of purchase.
If anything arrives damaged, leaking or incorrect, contact us immediately with a photo and we will make it right. Customers in the European Union also have a 14-day cooling-off right. See our Refund Policy for the full terms.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, JCB, Maestro and UnionPay, as well as PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay and Amazon Pay.
All prices are shown and charged in US dollars (USD). Payments are processed over an encrypted connection by Shopify — we never see or store your card details. Where it is available, Shop Pay also lets you split your order into 4 interest-free instalments.
Do you have any discounts, and how do I use a code?
Yes. Add your products to the cart, then enter your code in the Discount code field in the cart or on the checkout page and press Apply — the saving appears in the order summary before you pay.
Currently running: SUMMER20 gives 20% off orders over $50, our bundle builder saves up to 25% when you combine three or more items, and orders over $200 automatically receive an extra 10% off.
How should I store olive oil, and how long does it stay fresh?
Keep the bottle tightly closed in a cool, dark cupboard, away from the stove, the window and any heat source. Light, heat and air are what oxidise olive oil. There is no need to refrigerate it — cold storage can cloud the oil (harmless, but unnecessary).
Unopened and stored properly, an extra virgin olive oil is at its best within roughly 18 months of harvest; always check the best-before date on the bottle. Once opened, use it within 2–3 months to enjoy the full aroma and polyphenol content.
